What makes our drain plug unique is the heart of it – a high-temperature neodymium magnet. Our plug uses a rare earth, high-strength neodymium magnet, rated specifically to function in high-temperature environments, extracting unwanted ferrous particles from your vehicle's engine. The Votex drain plug magnet will operate in temperatures up to 150°C or 302°F, higher than most standard magnets.

The drain plug market is filled with options, many of which are constructed of aluminum, an inferior metal choice due to its strength and tendency to shear or snap, leaving you with a broken plug stuck in your oil pan. Our 304 stainless steel is sourced from the United States, promising not to be a weak, recycled material often found in foreign metals.

Our neodymium magnet has the strength to hold weights over 2.2lbs, empowering our plug with the strength to effectively pull unwanted metals out of your motor oil, resulting in longer engine life. Our magnet will extract the small metal particles that are too fine for oil filters to catch, as well as larger metal shavings that can plug oil filters.
